Share your biggest accumulator win — I will start. Had a 12-fold acca pay out last season at 90/1 from a 5 pound stake. Was combination of correct scores and first goalscorers. I know accumulators are terrible value mathematically but that one still felt incredible.

Accumulator expected value calculation: each leg adds the bookmaker margin. A 5-fold acca with each selection at 105% overround means the total overround is approximately 128%. You are getting 78 pence in the pound of true value on a 5-fold. That is why the bookmakers love promoting accas.

Value betting without professional tools is possible but requires genuine research edge. Knowing a specific market — say non-league football or tier 2 esports — better than the bookmaker does is a legitimate route to edge. It requires sustained effort and meticulous record keeping.

I have tracked every bet I have placed for 4 years. The honest result: down 3% on turnover which is better than the market average. The entertainment value justifies the cost for me but I do not pretend I am running a profitable operation. Knowing your real numbers is more important than almost anything else.
